Betta Rehome & Recovery Program
📦 Work has begun! — We have five tanks set up and have begun acquiring the heaters, filters, and lights. After cycling the tanks we will be accepting our first residents.
We offer a small, capacity-limited Betta Rehome & Recovery Program for fish in need of a fresh start.
If you have a betta you can no longer care for, we may be able to help. This program is limited to 5 fish at any time and operates on a space-available basis. Recovered bettas are made available for adoption with a small commitment donation and proof of a proper 5+ gallon heated setup.
How It Works
- Reach out — Contact us to check availability before bringing a fish.
- Drop-off — Bring your betta and any history you have (age, diet, known health issues).
- Recovery — We assess, treat if needed, and give the fish time to stabilize and thrive.
- Adoption — Once recovered, the betta is listed as available for a good home.
Our Setup
Each betta is housed individually in a dedicated, fully cycled tank. We use the following equipment for every station:
- Tank: 5.5 Gallon (Petco)
- Heater: Hygger Nano Submersible Aquarium Heater
- Filter: Hygger Super Mini Aquarium Single Sponge Filter
- Lighting: Nicrew Clip-On Planted Aquarium Light
- Substrate: Fluval Shrimp and Plant Substrate
